Lyra Japan is the project developing Lyra, a manga creation tool powered by generative AI. We work to make the complex process of creating manga easier to handle through AI and thoughtful UI.
We see manga creation as more than image generation: it is a creative process integrating story, characters, page composition, panel expression, dialogue, and direction. Lyra is a creative environment that structures that process and makes a creator's intent easier to communicate to AI.

Lyra Japan Founder / Developer
While studying control engineering and biosignal processing at Keio University's Faculty of Science and Technology, Shogo Ikeda developed the AI manga editor Lyra and founded Lyra Japan.
He is concerned that inequalities in language ability arising from differences in education and genetics may be reflected in AI output quality and widen inequality further. Lyra's architecture, designed to be usable freely by anyone, grew from this concern.
